Payment Policy

This policy explains how you can pay on utilitymart.shop and how we keep your payment safe. UtilityMart is operated by HMBR Tools And Chemicals LTD.

1. Ways to pay

  • Cash on delivery: pay in cash to the courier when your parcel arrives.
  • Pay online: bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, other cards and internet banking, through the SSLCOMMERZ secure payment gateway. The methods you can use are shown on the payment page.

2. Prices and currency

All prices are in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and include VAT. The delivery charge is shown separately at checkout before you pay. The total you see at the last step is the total you pay.

3. Paying online

  • When you choose Pay online you are sent to the SSLCOMMERZ payment page to complete the payment with the method you prefer. SSLCOMMERZ is a payment gateway widely used in Bangladesh.
  • We never see or store your card number, wallet PIN, password or one-time code. These are entered only on the gateway's page.
  • We receive only the result of the payment and a transaction ID. Before we confirm your order we check every payment directly with SSLCOMMERZ's server, and we confirm that the amount and currency match your order.
  • After a successful payment you see a "Payment successful" page with your transaction ID and receive a confirmation. Please keep the transaction ID.
  • Online payments can be between BDT 10 and BDT 500,000 per transaction. For larger orders please contact us or choose cash on delivery.

4. If a payment fails or is cancelled

Your cart stays as it was and no order is created. You can try again, use another method, or choose cash on delivery. If money was taken but you did not get an order confirmation, contact us at once with the transaction details; if no order was created we refund you within 7 to 10 working days (see our Cancellation Policy).

5. Cash on delivery

  • You pay the exact order total in cash to the courier. There is no extra cash on delivery fee.
  • For your first cash on delivery order we may ask you to confirm your mobile number with a one-time code sent by SMS. This protects you and us from orders placed with someone else's number.
  • We may ask for online payment in advance where parcels have repeatedly been refused without a valid reason.

6. Refunds

Refunds are paid back to the way you paid, within 7 to 10 working days of approval. Details are in our Refund and Return Policy.

7. Fraud prevention

To protect customers we may check orders before they are shipped, for example by calling you, asking for a code sent to your phone, or holding an order that looks unusual. We may cancel an order and refund it in full if we cannot confirm it.

8. Problems with a payment

If you see a charge you do not recognise, or a double charge, please contact us first with the date, amount and transaction ID. We will look into it straight away. You can also contact your bank, card issuer or wallet provider.
